What is the Studio Etiquette?

To make Tieric Pilates a safe and wonderful place to train please:

  • Arrive 5 minutes prior to your session time.

  • Sanitise your hands on arrival.

  • Bring along grip socks to every session. If you don’t have any grip socks, they are always available to purchase in studio for $22.95 a pair.

  • Place personal belongings in the storage provided.

What should I bring to class?

A water bottle, scrunchie, grip socks - but most importantly - you!

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable activewear that allows easy movement and keeps you cool during the session.

How do I get there?

Our address is Ground Floor, 271A Mt Alexander Road, Ascot Vale, Melbourne 3032.

Our studio is a stones throw away from Woolworths Metro Ascot, surrounded by ample street parking on Mt Alexander Road and side streets.

Don’t drive? That is no problem at all! Our studio is a a few steps away from Tram Stop #28 (Middle St/Mt Alexander Rd) on the 59 Tram Route.

To find our beautiful studio locate the intercom which is located in the entrance gate. Press button arrows until “Ground Floor 271A” and press the bell icon button to for the door to be unlocked. Walk through glass and black door to find our studio located on your left.

What facilities do you have?

Our studio is a modern and light-filled space with polished concrete floors, tall ceilings, concrete accents and large sliding doors opening onto two balconette. For your comfort we have air conditioning and heating, adjoining bathroom facility with a shower and a bright kitchenette with a coffee machine and light refreshments accessible for all our participants.

What can I expect at my first class?

Join a group of up to 6 participants as you are guided through anyone of our 45-minute full body Reformer Pilates workout. Every Tieric Pilates class is designed to build strength and endurance, increase core stability, challenge your balance, improve mobility and posture - all with control and mindfulness.

Can I attend if I am a beginner?

Absolutely! Tieric Pilates welcomes everyone, regardless of skill level. We do ask to let your instructor know before your session commences though.

Can I do Pilates if I have an injury or have had surgery?

Group Pilates may not be suitable for individuals recovering from injuries or recent surgeries, as certain exercises could aggravate your condition or slow down recovery. Clinical Pilates however is often a more appropriate option for rehabilitation, as it can be tailored to your unique needs. Contact us to find out if group Reformer Pilates is the right fit for you on your rehabilitative journey.

Can I do Pilates if I am pregnant or have recently had a baby?

Yes - though if you're pregnant, we recommend attending Clinical Pilates classes, as they offer a more personalized approach and a broader range of Pilates apparatus to support your needs.

If you've recently had a baby, we do require written clearance from your doctor, women’s health physiotherapist, or OB-GYN at 6–8 weeks postpartum before starting classes.

Is there an age limit?

Yes, ages 18 and over.
